Begging
The Opening of the film shall show Phnom Penh as it is today, with inspired shots from “A cambodian spring”. There will be interviews of People that lived in phnom penh before the khmer rouge. They will discuss how phnom penh was a thriving city with a potential bright future ahead. There will be archive footage of Phnom penh supplied by Bophana centre. As well as famous track by such artists like Sin Sisamuth and Pan Ron. The music will be supplied by Dengue fever. The history of Phnom Penh culture will lead onto the evacuation
Middle
The middle of the film will be telling the story about how the soldiers evacuated Phnom Penh. Interviews from first hand experience, those who where evacuated and those that evacuated. Showing how the khmer rouge rose and how they took everybody to the fields. Asking the soldiers why they done so , what they where told and Who was heavily involved like Pol Pot. Seeing if they still believe in the regime. Expressing their thoughts on the history event, wether they feel remorse or pride. I am passionate about following the story of the soldiers, as the victims story have been told before.
Ending
The end of the film will show the fields in which people worked on. There will be archive footage and radio reports on the ghost town that was Phnom Penh. Showing the aftermath of the evacuation. A tale about the killing fields will be recited by those who worked on it.
